Step 1
This stage introduces participants to the Federal Republic of Germany’s dual education and vocational training framework, as well as its associated professional culture and the structure of the German labor market, with particular emphasis on technical, digital, and emerging AI-enabled sectors. Instruction in the German language commences at levels A1/A2 and progresses toward B1 competence, with a focus on functional and workplace-oriented communication within training institutions and professional environments.
The curriculum and instructional materials are fully aligned with German educational standards and integrate standardized technical terminology alongside foundational modules in STEM disciplines, including computer literacy, digital systems, data processing, and introductory concepts in artificial intelligence such as machine learning fundamentals, algorithmic thinking, and the application of automated digital tools. Participants are further introduced to contemporary industrial practices involving AI-supported workflows, data-driven decision-making processes, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Assessment is conducted through structured assignments, applied projects, and formative evaluations, which collectively contribute to a competency-based job-matching index used to determine eligibility for advanced vocational training pathways, apprenticeships, or internship placements within Germany’s technical and innovation-oriented sectors. Successful completion of this stage results in the awarding of the D-Tech Diploma Certification, in addition to formal registration within the Bayern Gate framework to facilitate subsequent academic progression and vocational integration opportunities.
